Goa
Goa, a small former Portuguese enclave is one of India's most popular tourist spots, popular with boa internal and international visitors. Goa combines old Portuguese architecture with a rich diverse history, with the Dutch,English, French and Portuguese all vying for its posession. In 1510 however, Portugal conquered Goa, and governed it until handing possession back to the Indian Government.
Geographically split into North Goa and South Goa, the Goan coastline stretches for 131 km, along the golden Konkan coast of the Western Ghats (Arabian Sea).
South Goa
South Goa is not as developed as North Goa, and its stretch of coastline extends from Vasco da Gama and Bogmalo to Palolem Beach. Colva is by far the most popular of the South Goa beaches, and is renowned for its white sands. It is also the most active of the towns and villages along the South Goa coastline.
North Goa
The coastline of North Goa starts at Fort Aguada follows a 30 km stretch of beautiful beaches up to Arambol. As you venture from Fort Aguada you pass Sinquerim, Candolim, Calangute, Baga, Anjuna, Vagator, Chapora, Morjim before reaching Arambol. North Goa's coastline features steeply shelving sands, perfect for beach-lovers. North Goa has something for everyone, for both the budget property investor, the investor looking for real value for money and someone just looking for that something different, away from the masses.
