Construction progress – January 2010

Golden Orangery
The development covers an area of around 185,000m2. Here 105 villas are being constructed in to principle sizes, 30 larger villas of between 195m2 and 241m2 and 75 smaller ones of between 117m2 and 183m2 (built areas not including terraces and solariums). There is also a hotel that offers its guests exclusive accommodation.
Hotel & Spa
In addition to the villas Orangery Marrakech also offers accommodation in the areas own hotel, the perfect solution when relatives and friends come to visit.
The building is in classic style with Oriental features and was designed by one of Morocco’s leading architects, working with a renowned French interior designer.
The hotel consists of 35 high – quality suites. Here you will find a modern spa, including a gym and fitness rooms equipped to European standards complete with instructors. There is also tennis and swimming, plus a restaurant. All these facilities are open to all Orangery residents, whether villa owners or hotel guests.
Pool & Spa
At the heart of Orangery Marrakech lies the pool area with facilities for both adults and children. Connected to the pool area you will find a restaurant and bar, as well as a service centre where you can get help with the care and maintenance of your villa. There is also an office to provide support if you decide to rent out your property and a small shop close buy selling basic goods and groceries.
The Villas
Each house has its own adjoining private area with landscaped garden. The larger villas benefit from plot sizes of 1,715 to 3,339m2 whilst the smaller villas have 333 to 928m2. All properties come with a 3 x 6m or 4 x 12m swimming pool, depending on the size of the house.
The architecture is best described as Oriental – Scandinavian, uncluttered but radiating warmth and familiarity. Interior walls are usually light, combined with both light and dark floors.
In the main the kitchens, bathrooms, doors, windows and the wooden floors are from Scandinavia, much of the material used for the walls and floors however is Moroccan as are the decorative features.
The houses have fully equipped with heated floors and fitted kitchens including top of the range appliances.
All villas, except for the smallest ones are equipped with exclusively designed Finnish sauna baths, finished to a high specification and specially selected to fit the areas general material profile.
Because Marrakech has one of the highest average hours of sunshine in the world, we take advantage of solar energy to heat the houses. However the villas are also equipped with eco – friendly heat pumps that provide swift changes in temperature from warmer to cooler or vice versa, additionally the houses feature open fire places.
